I'm not sure if I should tell the world what I did for Christmas because you'll either feel sorry for me or be really jealous. Firstly Christmas Eve was spent baking mince pies (kind of a gross picture since I had to use the flash):
And roasting chickens at my friends house where I was kept company by this furry little critter:
"The Big Day" was spent on my own watching crappy TV, making chicken stock and knitting. KNITTING UNTIL MY FINGERS BLED. OK, slight exaggeration but I did knit a lot. See?
That's a whole sweater back folks. In three days. Uh huh. Details to follow when I'm not being distracted by my house mate using my swift and ball winder....
Hey Tina,
ReplyDeleteI wish I had the luxury of knitting all day on Christmas. Instead, I had to fight a crowd in the supermarket, and then cook a big dinner for some friends, all while fighting my mom for space in the kitchen. I do not feel sorry for you, I am more on the jealous side. Those mince pies look tasty, and although I have never had one before, I would sure like to try it.
The sweater back looks awesome!! You rock!! What pattern is that? I am so tempted to give that a try. It would even look really good as a throw or shawl/wrap.
what a knitting accomplishment! good for you! i'm glad you ended up having a nice relaxing [as i see it] xmas. see you pronto!!
