Two very quick hats for the Rockaways

The cruel timing of a Nor'easter straight after a hurricane got my brain whirring and hands knitting. A quick rummage in the nether regions of my stash where lone balls of yarn accumulate like dust bunnies, one episode of X-factor and some ridiculously large needles later I had two hats to add to my pile of winter wear for donation. I made them on the small side as children's hats. I hope they kept someone's head warm today.
