Due to a rather boy-shaped distraction that walked into and out of my life over the weekend there wasn't really much time for knitting. But no fear, with this yarn that doesn't really delay things much!

Just look at the view that greeted me this morning, a gorgeous, sparkling sunrise. Beautiful!

The back and fronts of Killybegs are done and blocked, and this little curly monstrosity is the best part of the first sleeve. Please note my trademark pad of mini post-it notes, it seems I am now completely unable to knit without them.
As for the boy, since he's one of the prospective students who have already signed up for my school he'll be back in New York in July. Something tells me Spring is going to take a long ole time to pass...

someday, i hope to also have a "boy-shaped distraction"--what a great phrase! Can't wait to see this sweater all finished; you're so close!
ReplyDeleteHmm, maybe there was a little too much distraction! I noticed last night that the sleevecap looked a little big and realised that I'd misread 17" as 15" so I had to rip out the tops of all the pieces I'd completed and add another ten rows! Gah!
ReplyDeleteBut yes, stupidity aside, I'm really looking forward to finishing this sweater! There's just one sleeve and a bunch of seed-stitch trim to go...
