I think this yarn may well have been designed by Mr Fassett with these socks in mind... Aren't they just FABULOUS?!
So FABULOUS in fact that I had to run out to Abakhan's in Manchester today, despite the lingering ravages of my head cold, to by another couple of skeins in a different colourway to make another pair.

Modifications: I knit more on the leg because, hell, why not?! Also didn't do the slip stitch edge thing on the foot because snot clouded my vision and I, um, didn't read that bit....
They are *so* fabulous and I love your yarn choice. The slipped stitch part is overrated anyway. :-)
ReplyDeleteah, abakhans - my favourite stamping ground for cheap and cheerful yarn (but rather weirdly, i have swapped towns with you and am in NYC at the moment!) That's the best colour combo i've seen for socks in quite a while... like them a lot!
