So I'm going to have to split this up into pattern and colour because on my own with my trusty self-timer I was only able to capture one or the other and usually in the presence of back-fat. Please excuse the rolls.
First texture:

Then colour:
Pattern: Lacy Wrap/River, available here for free :)Needles & Yarn: 4mm Options. The sock/lace yarn was from My Special Tea on Ebay but it doesn't look like this colourway, Luminous Moth, nor this length (600yds) is available anymore (and on second look I think the store may have disappeared too....) The yarn has 20% nylon which means it was crunchy as hell to knit up and it bled dye onto my fingers, but a wash and a stretch has made is much softer. I think I ended up doing 27 or 28 repeats of the pattern with a small amount of yarn left over, which was probably a good thing because one more repeat and I wouldn't have been able to fit this sucker on my blocking board.
And just for fun, want to see the precarious positions I put myself in to get some of these pictures? Look away if you're scared of heights...
I think I might have been bitten by the lace bug, expect much more to come.
I've got the perfect solution to help you with your back fat and muffin top problem. It is new shapewear product I recently saw on a TV news program and immediately purchased one... the Unbelievabra by Shapeez (http://unbelievabra.com). It smooths, shapes and supports like no other shapewear... and believe me, I've tried them all including Spankx and Sassybax. The Unbelievabra is so comfortable you'll want to wear it all the time. (I do!)
ReplyDeleteFor reals, anonymous? I was just thinking of hitting the gym and eating something other than chips and beer for dinner...
ReplyDeleteI actually was thinking that those jeans looked great and I wondered what they were.... but hey, who am I to judge against random spamming like that!?
ReplyDeleteYour river looks fantastic. Great colour! And I love lace, it's so addictive.
