For August's block (sewed this past Saturday... Ooops.) we were sent an image of a flower printed on fabric and asked to improve a block around it. I stalled completely on this, I just couldn't think of what to make. So I eventually decided to keep it simple, do what I know and pulled matching strips and some yellowy-orange scraps and log cabin-ed. I added some shot silk from a failed refashion for a bit of interest, and some top stitching for... reasons.
For September out mission was to make a house. Again, I stalled. Then I sewed this. It's not my finest hour, but there is a fussy cut Shetland Sheepdog puppy, so there's that.
I'm not really feeling the quilt bees right now which is AWESOME because October is my month. Ho hum!
