I moved.
And then I inadvertently crocheted Barbie.
I was browsing around Ravelry yesterday when I stumbled upon this blog (don't look if you don't want your eyes seared with loveliness). A while ago (egads, a year ago!?) I got all in a tizzy about crocheting the ripple blanket that was sweeping the internets, and I got maybe 10 inches into it before I gave up. But then I saw the granny squares on the blog above and boom, I was off! I completed two squares last night that are extreme in their girliness, but I have blues and greens to temper the pinks in other squares. Hopefully this project will be seen through to completion because if not, the yarn will be donated and the crochet hooks banished ;)
What an absolutely cool way to do granny squares! Sure is going to save a LOT of sewing time in the end. Can't wait to see your finished blanket.
