Issues

I'm watching Lifetime original movies. Somebody shoot me.

The sore throat sinus thing has me wiped out, probably because I keep waking up four times a night in pain, or coughing or both. Mooching around the house in jammies has afforded me some more knitting time on the lacy sock. Uh huh, yeah... all good until I reached the toe. This is the third reknit and it's still too short. I give up for today.

That is a nice looking sock, though! Its funny how some projects just are a pain, but in the end worth it. Hope you feel better!

  2. I do really like the sock, in fact I find it nothing sort of amazing how much it stretches and how pretty it looks on my pasty white legs! The problems I'm having are all my snot-addled brain's fault: not realising the pattern is for two sizes smaller than my feet, that my gauge is a little too short etc etc. I did cave later in the night, threw in about 15 extra rows before starting the decreases and sprinkled a few extra in between and now it fits perfectly. Hurrah! Now on to the second sock....

  4. This is another pattern from Nancy Bush's Knitting Vintage Socks and is the Evening Stocking for a Young Lady. *snort* Young Lady indeed!

The yarn was from one of my Etsy rampages last year and is a combination of peacock blues and deep greens. I really like it, plus the colourway was Christina, which you know, is my name an' all. It's a handpainted, 100 % merino superwash wool from these lovely ladies:

Beautiful sock!! I hope you're feeling better soon. It's no fun being sick and watching Lifetime TV which is also known as The Women At Risk Movie Network.
