Pre-bedbug we had a great couch with a lovely tweedy cotton finish, post-bedbug we have a static electricity inducing microfiber monstrosity. I know, I know. I'm grateful that neither cost anything and that the University provided us with a new couch despite the risk of re-infestation, but seriously this couch could solve the energy crisis all on its own. Snap, crackle and pop have nothing on my couch.

So when you couple static cling to my new found obsession with fat quarters you get.... cushions!

These are backed with Wedgwood blue cotton velvet and just slip over the microfiber cushions that came with the couch. The picture is a touch over exposed so the patchwork looks a little washed out but in real life it's much sunnier. Now I just have to make on for the arm chair and my room and my friends place and my mom's place and.....
