I've been found on several occasions headed to knitting group with empty needles. Now I have lots of lovely sock yarn but I also have a fair bit of decidedly meh fingering weight. So when I've needed a quick project for right now, I've been reaching for the meh and just plugging away. For the flight home I grabbed a ball of Regia Bamboo and my trusty plastic dpns and rustled up a pair of socks.
Pattern: These look a lot like Nancy Bush's Gentleman's Fancy Socks (which I have made before), but since I didn't have the pattern with me nor have I looked at the pattern in two years I'll say that these are Nancy Bush inspired.
Yarn & Needles: Schachenmayr nomotta Regia Bamboo Color 1066. Plastic 2.5mm dpns.
Another meh bites the dust.

haha you're a speedy knitter! i'm so bad with improvising when it comes to knitting. i really enjoy following a pattern...i should work on this!
ReplyDeleteDid you get a new camera or am I late to the party (as usual)?I've been feelign pretty "meh" about my sock yarn as of late also. I'm thinking of making gloves instead.
ReplyDeleteYes, I got a Canon Rebel Xsi for my birthday in November :o) I love it!
ReplyDeletePretty colors! I haven't knit socks in a while. I should remedy that in '09, I think!
