I knitted something ugly

I know! Can you believe it?! Ready your retinas, put on a pair of sunglasses, pop a migraine tablet....

Migraine inducing clown barf.

I warned you they'd be fugly. This yarn came in a lot with the regia yarn otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. Since these socks were my first attempt at toe ups (started way back in August 2007) I thought I'd use shitty yarn to practice with. And OMG is this yarn is shit. For one thing it is stretchand so has a thread of elastic running through it, and for another it looks like migraine-inducing clown barf. But whatever, no one can see that when they are in my boots. And I will hide them when I do laundry. Dear Lord, these are ugly freaking socks.

  2. Erm. I kinda like them. They're bright, sure, but they're kind of fun.

  5. I have to agree with Trillian42 . . . I kind of like how the colorway knitted up. It may be bright, but it looks balanced and nice.

  7. LOL! My first pair of socks were knit with this hideous, bright and nasty yarn. I didn't understand how to match sock patterns with the right type of yarn at the time.

Anyway, as ugly as I think they are they are my favorite pair to this day. Go figure.

I think your's turned out well. Toe up is fun, eh?
